Daily Inspection and Maintenance
Check the water circulation system: Check the water tank, pump, and pipes daily or weekly to ensure unobstructed water flow. If any blockage or dripping is detected, address it immediately.
Keep the water source clean: Using clean water can effectively reduce mineral deposits and algae growth. It is recommended to change the water in the water tank regularly, especially when the device is not in use.
Check the cooling pad surface: Observe the surface of the evaporative cooling pad for dust, debris, or algae. If light dirt is found, rinse with a soft brush or clean water.
Perform regular deep cleaning (recommended every 1-2 months)
Disconnect the power and water supply: Before performing any cleaning, always turn off the device and disconnect the power supply to prevent electric shock. Also, close the water inlet valve.
Removing the cooling pad: Carefully remove the cooling pad from the device frame. Be careful not to apply excessive force to avoid damaging the pad.
Cleaning the Cooling Pad:
Method 1 (Light Soiling): Lay the cooling pad flat on the ground or in a spacious container. Use a low-pressure hose or garden hose to slowly rinse from top to bottom. Avoid using a high-pressure hose to avoid damaging the pad structure.
Method 2 (Heavy Soiling or Algae): If the pad has a thick buildup of mineral scale or algae, use a dedicated cleaning agent. Dilute the cleaning agent according to the instructions and spray it onto the pad. Let it sit for 15-20 minutes to break down the dirt. Then, rinse thoroughly with low-pressure water.
Cleaning the Sink and Pump:
Empty the water from the sink and scrub the inside of the sink with a soft brush or rag to remove any accumulated dirt and sand.
Inspect the pump, removing any debris and entanglements. Ensure the pump impeller rotates freely.
Reinstallation: After the cooling pad and sink are completely dry, reinstall the cooling pad in its original position. Pay attention to the orientation of the pad to ensure even water flow.
Restoring Operation: Reconnect the water line and power supply, turn on the unit, and check that the water circulation system is functioning properly.
Seasonal Maintenance
Thorough Cleaning: Perform a thorough cleaning of the entire system following the deep cleaning steps above.
Completely Drain: Empty the sink and all water pipes to prevent water accumulation and bacterial growth or ice formation during storage.
Store Dry: Ensure the cooling pad is completely dry before storing. Dry in a well-ventilated area to prevent mold and mildew.
Protecting: Cover the unit with a dust cover or plastic sheeting to prevent dust, insects, and debris from entering.
Following these detailed maintenance and cleaning steps, you can ensure your evaporative cooling pads remain in optimal working condition, providing you with continuous and efficient cooling service.
